Welcome to the community information and feedback site for Emergency (Natural Disaster) Risk Management Projects being facilitated by Echelon, on behalf of local Councils.
Emergency Risk Management aims to reduce the potential effects of emergency events through a comprehensive approach of prevention, preparedness, response and recovery. Your Local Emergency Management Committee (LEMC) has a responsibility to develop a Emergency Risk Management Plan in line with this national approach.
Key to this approach is community consultation to ensure that planning and management arrangements are well understood by the community and relevant to their needs.
This site contains general information about Emergency Risk Management planning as well as links to the Draft Emergency Risk Management Plan (Draft ERMP) relating to your Council area. Draft ERMP are displayed at Council offices for public comment for a defined period of time, publicised in advance. During this time you may also provide feedback via this website using the email link provided.
